Highlights Of The Accounting Manager Opportunity
Boston-based real estate investment firm with 6M+ sq. ft. portfolio and 20% growth in 3 years. Manage, train, and review Property Accountants to ensure accurate GAAP financial reporting. The CFO is seeking an individual who will bring their own ideas and perspectives to the table. He encourages his team to think outside the box and implement accordingly.
The Accounting Manager’s responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee timely monthly, quarterly, and annual closes and financial reporting Review and approve reconciliations, budgets, billings, and workpapers Lead budgeting, monthly reporting, and support external audits Identify process improvements and ensure internal control compliance Provide backup support for Property Accountants as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance or equivalent. Prior accounting management experience (public or private), preferably within the Commercial Real Estate Industry but open to candidates with other industry experience. Ability to develop an understanding of property management software (Yardi and MRI) and ultimately maximize its use.
