Electronics Assembler Contract Position
We have a fantastic contract position for an Electronics Assembler to join a leading company located in State College, PA. US citizenship is required. Looking for an assembler to join our team. This person will contribute to the company's success by performing a wide variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Performs a variety of mechanical or electro-mechanical assembly operations on mechanical/electrical assemblies, sub-assemblies, or end products.
- Able to follow verbal and written instructions, maintaining a focus on quality.
- Follows an engineering assembly process, but may require the ability to adjust, fit, or align parts.
- Uses hand tools such as long-nose pliers, screwdrivers, soldering irons, and wrenches.
- Maintains consistent quality and productivity levels.
- Uses Microsoft Office programs.
- Maintains neat and clean work area.
- Identifies problems and contributes to process improvements.
- Performs some hand soldering on electronic assemblies.
- Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced, flexible production state-of-the-art environment.
- Works as part of a team and collaborates to accomplish tasks.
- Traversing across the production floor for the duration of their shift.
- Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associate's Degree with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience.
- Able to transport up to 30 lbs.
- Able to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and Bills of Material.
- Electrical background at the component level.
- Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the continuous improvement process.
- J-STD-001, IPC-610.
- Mechanical or electrical assembly experience to include soldering.
- Prefer 8 years of prior relevant experience or 2 year degree and 4 years of experience.
- Good hand-eye coordination for work under a microscope.
- Working knowledge of electronic theory relating to RF transmission, receivers' circuits, analog and digital circuitry.
- The ability to troubleshoot RF/Digital circuits to the component level.
- Understanding and able to perform calibration of RF circuits and equipment calibration procedures.
- Test equipment, i.e., signal generators, oscilloscopes, power meters, spectrum analyzers, and RF equipment.
- Advanced ability to solve complex technical problems, analyze faulty circuits.
- Electrical background at the component level.
- Capable of identifying problems and contributing to process improvements through the continuous improvement process J-STD-00, IPC-610.
