Program Supervisor Civil Rights

The Montana Department of Transportation (MDT) is recruiting for a Program Supervisor Civil Rights. This position is responsible for the ongoing development and administration of multiple Civil Rights programs, including the Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program, the Small Business Enterprise (SBE) Program, and DBE/SBE Supportive Services. Responsible for monitoring and reporting compliance with applicable standards and requirements. This position occasionally travels around the state to program sites, conferences, and trainings. Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Communication, Education, Social Sciences or a closely related field.
  • 3 years of experience in program management, reporting and analysis, or a related field.
  • 1 year of supervision or team lead experience.
  • Alternative combinations of related experience and education may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both orally and in writing.
  • Experience in building relationships with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and cultures as well as internal and external agency contacts.
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate information to develop policies and/or guides.
  • Concepts and theories of program planning, administration specifically federally funded programs.
  • Proficient in Excel.
