Job Summary

Job Title: Senior Accountant

Compensation: $85,000-95,000 + Bonus

Job Type: Full Time

What We're Looking For:

• The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding GAAP rules and regulation as well as a strong technical accounting background
• This person should have at least 3 years of accounting experience
• Experience working in public accounting (audit) is preferred
• CPA or Masters in preferred
• Must be a great communicator and be able to work independently
• Ability to adapt and think on your feet

What You'll Be Doing:

• This person will serve as the go to person in the department for GAAP compliance and technical accounting research
• Assist in all closing processes and financial statement preparation including the consolidated financial statement
• Doing research and analysis to make recommendations to all related accounting functions
• Compile reports revenue recognition, including calculating deferred revenue and posting revenue payments
• Assist in implementing internal controls company wide
• Lead financial consolidations process
• Makes recommendations and creates plans to improve internal controls when necessary
• Assisting with corporate forecasting and budget preparation
• Recording journal entries, and coding entries based on the revenue type
• Daily and weekly balance sheet reconciliations and checking for accuracy and thoroughness.
• Applies standard GAAP methods; makes recommendations to improve practices or procedures
