As the Vice President of Product Strategy at Kitsap Credit Union you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic direction and growth of our product offerings. Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), you will be responsible for leading the product management team, developing and executing product strategies, and ensuring the delivery of innovative and competitive products that meet the needs of our members and align with the credit union's mission and values. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President of Product to lead our product management team in driving the development and implementation of innovative digital and credit union products. The successful candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial services industry, a proven track record of product leadership, and a passion for leveraging technology to deliver exceptional member experiences. Seniority Level: Vice President Reports to: Chief Revenue Officer Employment Type: Full-time, Salaried, Exempt, Hybrid Salary Range: $173,633.98 - $217,042.48 depending on experience Bonus Target: 15% potential incentive of base pay Working Hours: Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM Grade: 17BC Industry: Banking Principal Accountabilities Develop and implement a comprehensive product strategy that aligns with the credit union's business objectives, market trends, and member needs. Lead the product development process from ideation to launch, ensuring that products are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather member feedback to identify opportunities for new products or enhancements to existing ones. Set objectives that empower product development teams to achieve key business results. Champion a user-centric approach to design and ensure that digital products meet the needs and expectations of our members. Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the product management team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement. Set clear goals and performance metrics for the team and provide regular feedback and performance evaluations. Foster cross-functional collaboration with other departments, such as marketing, finance, and technology, to ensure seamless product development and implementation. Leading conversations with existing and potential members of our ecosystem in order to identify evolving pain points, needs, and wants. Oversee the entire product lifecycle, including product planning, development, launch, and post-launch analysis. Own our pricing strategy for deposit products and the execution plan for prices making sure they are benchmarked, competitive, reported, performing to goal. Own our promotional strategy with respect to member (customer) promotions and incentives. Partner with CRO VP group to understand our sales and marketing goals and deliver omni-channel promotions to drive the desired outcomes. Monitor product performance, analyze key metrics, and identify areas for optimization and improvement. Develop and implement strategies to drive product adoption, usage, and profitability. Cultivate deep insights into the needs, preferences, and behaviors of our members through data analysis, user feedback, and market research. Develop strategies to enhance member engagement, satisfaction, and loyalty through innovative product solutions. Ensure that all products comply with relevant regulations, industry standards, and internal policies. Collaborate with the compliance and risk management teams to assess and mitigate potential risks associated with new or existing products. Stay informed about regulatory changes and industry best practices related to financial products and services. Required Skills and Abilities Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills to effectively communicate with executive leadership, management, staff, and outside contacts. Excellent organizational, time management, analytical and project management skills. Ability to research and compile information for the purpose of recommending product and/or services marketing opportunities. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite software. Demonstrates a high level of engagement and active collaboration contributing to a positive team environment. Understand, model, and represent KCU's core values. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Required Qualifications and Education Bachelor's degree in business, finance, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred. Minimum of 10 years of experience in product management, with at least 3-5 years in a Director or above leadership role. Proven track record of developing and launching successful financial products or services. Proven experience leading pricing strategy development and execution, including competitive benchmarking and performance analysis to drive revenue growth and actionable product strategies. Proven track record of successfully launching and managing digital banking products or platforms. Deep understanding of financial services industry trends, regulations, and competitive landscape. Demonstrated ability to drive results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
