The Director of Database Marketing leads the execution of all direct marketing campaigns and messaging tests, ensuring alignment with brand strategy and performance goals. This role serves as a key liaison between corporate, property, and vendor teams to optimize campaign execution. The Director is responsible for maintaining strong, collaborative relationships across partners and support functions while upholding MGM Resorts International policies and standards. The day-to-day includes: Execute direct marketing strategies across gaming and non-gaming campaigns at all properties. Oversee final campaign deployments to customers, ensuring thorough error checks before launch. Establish and maintain best practices for database segmentation and campaign execution processes. Train and support managers and specialists to ensure accurate and timely campaign codification. Champion user adoption of marketing technologies and partner with IT to troubleshoot and resolve issues. Perform quality control spot checks within campaigns to confirm correct application of business rules. Monitor pacing reports and make real-time adjustments to optimize campaign effectiveness. Manage test-and-learn campaigns, analyze outcomes, and implement improvements based on key learnings. Drive achievement of key performance indicators, including campaign execution time, on-time delivery rates, internal satisfaction scores, delivery rates, and bounce/spam rates. Provide coaching and developmental support for team members, helping them define and achieve personal goals. Ensure completion of all required training and conduct regular performance evaluations. Validate marketing data attributes and ensure consistent use and interpretation across the team. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, along with 4+ years of relevant experience in the casino, marketing, hospitality, or a related industry. They should possess deep expertise in database marketing, including the development of strategic marketing calendars, pre- and post-campaign performance analysis, and the use of relational databases. A strong background in customer segmentation, customer valuation, and reinvestment strategies is essential covering both gaming and non-gaming audiences. The ideal candidate will be analytical, detail-oriented, and skilled in translating data into actionable marketing strategies. Experience leading teams, optimizing direct marketing operations, and collaborating cross-functionally is also key to success in this role.
