Just look up. Are you ready to go beyond? We have an immediate need for Maintenance Mechanic Millwright 3rd shift (onsite). Function: Perform the mechanical work necessary to install, inspect, maintain, overhaul, and repair facilities, engine assembly, and test support systems and equipment including construction, including welding and rigging, as assigned. What You Will Do: Under the direction of Leader/Supervisor follow specific instructions and standard trade practices to obtain tools, material and equipment for carrying out work assignments on mechanical systems, control devices and related equipment. Perform component installation, system maintenance and repair work as assigned and carry out preventive maintenance and service as required. Assist others responsible for complex installation, overhaul and repair projects in preparing materials and operating equipment. Perform similar duties throughout the facility within the scope and skill level of this job description. Assist other trades working on joint projects where common skill crossover provides the opportunity for shared responsibilities and more effective use of available skills. May be required to train for, obtain and maintain licenses, operator permits and certifications within assigned area. Qualifications You Must Have: High School Diploma or GED. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract. Qualifications We Prefer: Knowledge of mechanical equipment and mechanisms, hoisting and rigging techniques, hoisting and rigging systems, and piping systems. Prior experience in operating hand tools, and troubleshooting / repairing machines / equipment. Some knowledge of carpentry is helpful. Ability to read drawings and use mathematics as needed for a variety of measurements consistent with the trade. Equivalent to 2-3 years trades training and 1-2 years' experience. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.
