Maintenance Technician
Grande is now hiring for our brand-new state-of-the-art facility located in Chilton; an exciting opportunity to be part of building something from the ground up! We're looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to help ensure the smooth operation of our production and facility equipment. In this hands-on role, you'll handle a wide range of responsibilities including preventative maintenance, equipment repairs, and troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. You'll operate tools such as welders, forklifts, and scissor lifts, and use maintenance software (CMMS) to manage work orders, parts usage, and repair tracking. Your technical expertise and attention to detail will help keep our operations running efficiently and safely. In addition to maintenance work, you'll play a key role in continuous improvement by diagnosing equipment issues, updating SOPs and PM schedules, and recommending process enhancements for safety, quality, and cost savings. You'll ensure compliance with regulatory standards (OSHA, FDA, USDA, etc.), maintain a clean and organized workspace, and collaborate with vendors and fellow Associates. What you need to be considered for the role: High School or GED Ability and willingness to learn advanced mechanical and electrical technical skills Math and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Mechanical knowledge (machine guarding, drive belt installation & alignment, seal replacements, etc.) Pneumatic & hydraulic knowledge (replace and repair; check valves; filter assembly, etc.) Demonstrated knowledge of PLC and/or proficiency in program editing. Electrical concepts (demonstrated knowledge of control wiring, programming and operation of various control panels, transducers, machines, etc.) Preferred: Prior mechanical or electrical maintenance experience and/or training in a manufacturing organization is strongly preferred. Welding of stainless-steel knowledge desirable Physical Demands and Work Conditions: This role requires the ability to regularly lift and move objects weighing between 2050 lbs, as well as frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, and exposure to vibration. The work environment may involve exposure to extreme temperatures (both hot and cold), high humidity, and loud machinery.
