Description The Testarossa Winery culinary team caters onsite corporate and social events with Seasonal Farm-to-Table California Cuisine with world influences at a fine dining level, utilizing high-quality ingredients to pair with our wines, which have received over 1,900 scores of 90+ points. Working at our offsite kitchen in San Jose, your daily tasks may include: Prepping and cooking menu items according to instructions from the executive and sous chefs Labeling, stocking, and organizing ingredients following sanitation and food safety standards Managing ingredients and inventory; communicating with the culinary team Supporting event line execution, wine bar food prep, pastry/baking prep, and porter duties Requirements: At least 1 year of kitchen experience or equivalent culinary education ServSafe and/or California Food Handlers Certification Ability to modify recipe quantities Safe knife skills and sanitation knowledge Effective teamwork, proactive attitude, sense of urgency, good communication Work Environment & Physical Requirements: Flexible daytime schedule (availability Tuesday - Thursday required) Ability to walk, stand, bend, kneel, reach frequently Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly Handle sharp and hot tools Use cleaning chemicals regularly Travel between San Jose kitchen and Los Gatos winery as needed Seniority level
