Human Resources Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and strategic

HR Specialist

with strong recruitment expertise and the ability to lead broader HR operations. This role will manage high-volume, full-cycle recruitment while overseeing key HR functions such as compliance, employee relations, training, and performance management. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner to leadership, driving HR initiatives that attract, retain, and develop top talent while ensuring compliance and fostering a positive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Talent Acquisition Lead and manage the full-cycle recruitment process for a variety of roles across the organization, ensuring an exceptional candidate experience. Design and implement proactive sourcing strategies using job boards, social media, networking, employee referrals, and direct outreach. Develop and maintain recruitment metrics, talent pipelines, and applicant tracking system (ATS) records to monitor progress and improve processes. Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, create compelling job descriptions, and ensure alignment throughout the hiring process. Represent the organization at career fairs, recruitment events, and community outreach initiatives to build brand awareness and expand candidate networks. Create and refine onboarding processes to ensure smooth transitions for new hires, integrating cultural alignment and role preparedness. HR Operations, Leadership & Compliance

Oversee HR policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Serve as a point of escalation for complex employee relations matters, providing guidance to managers on performance issues, conflict resolution, and corrective actions. Conduct workplace investigations, prepare documentation, and recommend solutions aligned with company policy and legal standards. Develop and coordinate training and professional development programs to enhance employee skills and support career growth. Manage performance review processes, ensuring consistency, fairness, and alignment with organizational goals. Lead HR initiatives focused on employee engagement, retention, and workplace culture. Analyze HR metrics to identify trends, recommend improvements, and measure the success of HR programs. Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategies with long-term organizational objectives. Contribute to benefits administration, policy updates, and wellness programs to support overall employee well-being.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of progressive HR experience, including significant recruitment and employee relations responsibilities. Strong knowledge of HR laws, regulations, and best practices. Proven success in developing and implementing recruitment strategies. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels. Proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), HRIS platforms, and recruitment tools. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Demonstrated ability to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
