(i.e. state purchasing laws, contracts, and spending authority guidelines). Valid driver's license. Preference given to applicants with: Professional work experience with Legislative Budget Requests. Special consideration may be given to eligible candidates who have bilingual verbal and written skills that meet a critical need of the agency's mission. Employees of the Department of Financial Services are paid on a monthly pay cycle. This position requires a security background check, including fingerprint as a condition of employment. Knowledge and understanding of budget development, expenditure tracking, and financial reporting principles. Knowledge of legislative appropriations, purchasing regulations, and financial policies. Knowledge of state purchasing laws, contracts, and spending authority guidelines. Knowledge of budget processes, including LBR, LRPP, budget amendments, and financial analysis techniques. Knowledge of personnel budgeting, salary structures, and benefits allocation. Knowledge of federal forfeiture funds and compliance requirements. Knowledge of accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and analysis and reporting of financial data. Knowledge of basic management principles and practices. Knowledge of methods of data collection and analysis. Ability: Ability to effectively and efficiently utilize Microsoft Office Suite for financial and administrative tasks. Ability to assess financial data, identify trends, and provide actionable insights. Ability to interpret laws, regulations, and policies to ensure compliance.
