Admissions Coordinator - Learning Center
The Admissions Coordinator for the Rochester General College of Health Careers is responsible for managing all activities related to meeting and exceeding admissions goals of RGCOHC and other key programs at Rochester Regional Health. The Admissions Coordinator collaborates with the College President, Deans of Student Services, Academic Services, Financial Aid Counselor, Faculty, and key stakeholders within Rochester Regional Health and the Finger Lakes Region to ensure the success of the Rochester General College of Health Careers programs. Responsibilities: Recruitment. All phone inquiries. Develop, implement and assess plan to attract prospective students to the programs at the Learning Center. Establish and maintain excellent relationships with area schools, training programs, associations/organizations to create a pipeline of prospective students; may require giving presentations, attending career/health fairs and coordinating other activities. Collaborate with parties throughout Rochester Regional Health, such as but not limited to the Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant Training Program, Youth Apprenticeship Program, Hillside Work Scholarship Program, and Talent Acquisition to promote internal development and growth of our employees. Act as the liaison between the RGCOHC and RRH Marketing & Communications to develop and implement the appropriate marketing to attract prospective students. Embodies the core values of Rochester Regional Health by promoting a strong student/customer service atmosphere. Maintain and periodically update electronic application and website with any admission requirement changes. Provides direction and oversee the policies, procedures, evaluations/assessments that apply to admission process. Evaluates and maintains all forms/documentation required for the admissions and enrollment process. First face/voice to prospective students for the Learning Center. Engage with prospective students and applicants through timely communication and follow-up. Provide career/education options to prospective students. Review applications for completeness of all prerequisites, admissions testing, transcripts and letters of recommendations. Verify with Program Administrator any application documents that require interpretation. Assist with the interpretation of student handbook related to FERPA and Academic Accommodations procedure. Performs and ensures the accuracy of data entry of admissions applications into the prospective student master file. Works with Program Administrator concerning course equivalencies, articulation agreements, student questions, and program graduation requirements. Assists in orientation of new students. Scheduling Admission Appointments. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Obtain Admissions Professional Certification from the National Associate for College Admissions Counseling (NACAC) within one year of employment. Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrates proficiency in all Microsoft Office programs. One to three years of related experience in admissions, recruitment, marketing, or communications preferred. Associate's Degree OR graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing preferred. Education: AA (Required) Licenses / Certifications: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met. For disease specific care programs refer to the program specific requirements of the department for further specifications on experience and educational expectations, including continuing education requirements. Any physical requirements reported by a prospective employee and/or employee's physician or delegate will be considered for accommodations.
