Staff Accountant
We are looking for a dedicated Staff Accountant to join our team in Charleston, South Carolina. This role involves managing various accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. If you have strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for numbers, we encourage you to apply. Responsibilities include: Processing vendor invoices and recurring monthly payments to ensure timely and accurate accounts payable operations. Managing expense reimbursements and reconciling vendor statements while maintaining strong supplier relationships. Preparing and processing invoices for services rendered, ensuring accuracy in accounts receivable management. Reconciling credit card transactions and bank accounts, ensuring financial records are up-to-date and precise. Collaborating with project managers by providing updates on aged accounts receivable and outstanding balances. Posting adjusting journal entries, allocating intercompany expenses, and assisting in preparing financial statements. Generating reports and manipulating spreadsheets to support various accounting analyses and decision-making. Maintaining the general ledger, ensuring all entries are accurate and comply with accounting standards. Handling administrative accounting tasks, including intercompany journal entries and reconciliation processes. Building and maintaining effective relationships with customers and vendors to support financial operations. Requirements: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Accounting preferred, or equivalent experience. Minimum of two years technical education and three years of accounting experience, or five years of relevant experience. Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent interpersonal communication skills. Proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and handle high volumes of transactions. Proficiency in accounting software systems and advanced Excel skills. Solid understanding of debits and credits and general accounting principles. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities. High ethical standards and alignment with the company's core values.
