The Department of Health Care Policy & Financing (HCPF) oversees and operates Health First Colorado (Colorado's Medicaid Program), Child Health Plan Plus (CHP+), and other state public health programs for qualified Coloradans. This Provider Training Specialist position is responsible for the development, implementation and presentation of a variety of training courses and materials for the Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (HCPF) Fiscal Agent Operations Unit. This position also works with leadership members to maintain, coordinate, and implement a comprehensive training program to the provider community as well as answer live questions during instructor-led training sessions. These training courses will cover various topics critical to this population, including billing procedures, provider web portal, Medicaid programs and training for provider @types and their associated claim @types. Duties include, but are not limited to: Developing training materials on best practice business process for providers and department staff Assisting in editing and reviewing all communications and publications including webpage postings Providing support to all areas of Fiscal Agent Operations as needed and requested, to include call center, claims, third party liability, financial and provider screening and enrollment, transmittal review approval, and attending meetings as needed. Interacting with providers, department staff and the Fiscal Agent to research problems, develop resolution, track and resolve issues. Maintaining, coordinating and implementing training programs to address the training needs of providers including eligibility, provider enrollment, claims processing, web portal and Colorado interChange system functionality. Developing effective training courses, methods and materials. Researching, monitoring and analyzing current law, rules, regulations and system operations and anticipating how upcoming changes impact the current policies and operations and determining how to incorporate these into training development. Reviewing and editing provider communications such as targeted emails, bulletins and newsletters. Assisting with creating content based on provider feedback. Class Code & Classification Description: H4I3XX TRAINING SPECIALIST III MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: There are two ways to qualify for this position: Option 1: Six (6) years of relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned to this position OR Option 2: A combination of related education and/or relevant experience in an occupation related to the work assigned equal to six (6) years. Appropriate education will substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis. Relevant education will be calculated as the following: An associate will count as two years of experience A bachelors will count as four years of experience A masters degree will count for six years of experience A doctorate or juris doctorate degree will count for seven years of experience PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Prior state experience related to the duties of this position Experience with Zoom Experience with creating content Experience in technical writing, communications, or publications Experience in Healthcare CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: All positions at HCPF are security sensitive positions and require that the individuals undergo a criminal record background check as a condition of employment.
