Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor

What this job involves The Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor will provide facilities and project management support including building inspections, work order creation, vendor engagement and setup, field walks, quality assurance and associated reporting and follow up as necessary. Your day-to-day tasks will include: Responsible for the performance of Mechanical Team consisting of Building Engineers and Maintenance Mechanics. Partner with and coordinate work with Electrical Supervisor to maximize efficiency of entire team and to share resources as needed. Ensure all safety, environmental, and site standards are strictly adhered to within the facility by both JLL and any JLL vendors performing work. Ensures compliance with OSHA regulations, all applicable building codes and JLL policies and procedures. Oversee the execution of daily operations and maintenance activities performed by JLL and/or contract personnel. Provide guidance and mentoring, as needed, to ensure personnel perform the tasks required in a complete and accurate manner and delivered with outstanding customer service. Manage Aging work order backlog to target, work with peers on site. Support Root Cause Analysis of operational event and equipment failure investigations. Responsible for ensuring that major projects performed at the building are properly planned, executed and closed out in accordance with standard industry practices. Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements (EPA/OSHA), safety programs, and audit standards. Providing emergency response support and implementing comprehensive emergency procedures. Physical Requirements: Perform labor and general maintenance activities. Required to regularly lift up to 50 lbs., carry and adjust heavy objects. The sensory demands include exposure to the smells and sounds characteristic of an industrial work environment. The ability to safely climb ladders, work at elevation from ladders, scaffolding, lifts, roofs or platforms, and the ability to work in confined spaces. Desired experience and technical skills Required: U.S. citizenship is required for this position due to contract requirements. High school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years of facilities maintenance experience 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience Understanding of facility HVAC systems, mechanical systems, equipment and operations Working knowledge of all current facility code requirements and standards Must be proficient in basic computer application software such as MS Office, and E-Mail etc. CMMS software experience Thorough knowledge of building systems The job requires regular operation of standard office equipment, and hand tools. Strong interpersonal and management skills Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office and CMMS software Availability for on-call emergency response Preferred: Associate degree in facilities management, engineering, or related field Professional certifications (FMP, CFM, or equivalent) Experience with mechanical systems working in an Industrial facilities environment Location: On-site
