Excess Casualty Underwriters
to join its growing teams in
Chicago
and
Scottsdale .

Key Responsibilities
Develop, manage, and grow a
profitable book of excess casualty business .
Collaborate with
wholesale brokers and agents
to ensure a consistent flow of quality submissions.
Evaluate risks and determine pricing, terms, and conditions in alignment with underwriting strategy.
Monitor performance of both new and renewal business to ensure ongoing profitability.
Recommend appropriate actions including renewal terms, non-renewals, or coverage adjustments.
Stay informed on
industry, legal, and claim trends
affecting casualty underwriting decisions.
Meet or exceed production, profitability, and service goals.
Qualifications & Experience
4 to 10+ years of
commercial excess casualty underwriting experience , depending on seniority.
Deep knowledge of excess casualty coverage forms, risk appetite, and industry trends.
Strong analytical and decision-making skills, with an ability to assess complex risks.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Compensation & Benefits
Competitive base salary:
$85,000 to $200,000 , depending on experience and qualifications
