5:00 PM (37.5-hour work week); hybrid schedule. About Our Client: Addison Group is seeking a Customer Service Assistant for our client, a leading healthcare organization in Chicago. Job Description

The Customer Service Assistant will handle registration and insurance verification processes, provide support to patients over the phone, and coordinate with internal departments to ensure efficient access to services. Candidates should have prior healthcare customer service experience and strong communication skills. EPIC experience and bilingual Spanish proficiency are preferred but not required. Key Responsibilities

Gather and process registration details for new and returning patients. Verify and document insurance coverage via phone or electronic systems. Obtain authorizations and confirm financial clearance in advance of services. Communicate essential information to the appropriate department or care site. Address inquiries related to available services, policies, and procedures. Coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate service access. Answer incoming calls for patient registrations. Resolve eligibility alerts before the end of each shift. Maintain accurate records and distribute relevant departmental updates. Conduct basic research into patient or process-related complaints. Participate in performance improvement initiatives and staff training as needed. Qualifications

12 years of healthcare customer service experience (required). Strong phone communication skills and attention to detail. EPIC system experience (preferred). Bilingual in Spanish (preferred). Positive references regarding attendance and punctuality. Access to a working laptop and reliable internet for remote work. Perks
