The ideal candidate will work within a fast-paced environment to provide excellent patient care while collaborating with a supportive and experienced staff. Key Responsibilities: - Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with a focus on cardio-pulmonary health and general medical needs.- Monitor patients for cardiac conditions, ensuring stability, but do not treat arrhythmias.- Admit and discharge patients efficiently, responding to the high daily turnover.- Work collaboratively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.- Support a positive and motivating environment to enhance teamwork and collaboration among staff. Qualifications: - Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.- Preferred: Positive, outgoing attitude, and a good understanding of HCAHP importance.- Must demonstrate self-motivation, self-accountability, and flexibility to work weekends and major holidays. Work Environment: - The Medical Care Unit is a collaborative work environment with leadership visibility on all shifts and excellent support from nursing supervisors.- Nurses with varying levels of experience (from new graduates to those with over 20 years) are welcomed, making this an excellent opportunity for professional growth and development.- Outstanding support from Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), Nursing Assistants (CNAs), and Nurse Externs across all shifts. Additional Information: - Patient-to-nurse ratio of 6:1.- Floating opportunities available to similar levels of care and potentially step-down assignments.
