Communicate with directors, clinical managers, house supervisors and charge nurses to ensure adequate staffing to meet departmental census and acuity needs. Identify departmental needs and staff availability and schedule staff accordingly. Maintain employee records, including tracking mandatory training, staff health requirements, shifts worked, and occurrences. Arrange for departmental orientation, attendance at competencies, skills fairs, or other required training. Enter and maintain the Clarivia data, including departmental needs, staff information, scheduling, and report generation. Maintain time records for assigned staff, to ensure timely and accurate payroll and departmental charge back. Maintain and manage Kronos daily edits in a timely manner and assist other units as needed. Act as resource for departments around scheduling, Kronos, Clarivia and time and attendance. May complete unit/department specific duties and expectations as outlined in department documents. Competency with computer-based office software and web-based applications such as Microsoft Office, PeopleSoft. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. Two (2) years of clerical or healthcare experience. College or equivalent degree may be substituted for experience. Preferred Qualifications: Scheduling, timekeeping, or payroll experience within a fast-paced environment is strongly preferred. Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met with or without reasonable accommodation. The performance of these physical demands is an essential function of the job. The employee may be required to ambulate, remain in a stationary position and position self to reach and/or move objects above the shoulders and below the knees. The employee may be required to move objects up to 10 lbs.
