Assist the mobile response team by accompanying various Mobile Response employees in the activity of a client home visit to observe. Answering phones and directing incoming calls professionally, quickly and accurately Interact with mental health clients and convey any observations to management Assist with outreach programs but accompanying other employees while Administrative tasks, filing, faxing, verifying paperwork as needed. Supports recovery planning proposing strategies, offering support, information and resources for an individual to achieve their own desired tasks and goals Engages peers in collaborative and caring relationship Validates experiences feelings; conveys hope of recovery Shares sentiments of wellness and recovery in a connecting and relatable way KSAs, Competencies
Team player Calm demeanor when interacting with clients other staff members Basic data PC skills (MS Office) Customer service Ability to follow directions Cognitive
Ability to interpret the Baker and Marchman Act, Program/Center policies and procedures Ability to understand Abuse and Confidentiality laws
Communication
Ability to write in English, in a clear and concise format and compose other business related correspondence. Effectively and professionally communicate/work with all staff, clients and families, verbally and in writing. Work effectively with a wide range and level of staff, clients and outside customers
2 years of lived continuous recovery experience from any Substance Use Disorder (SUD) and/or personal experience with addiction in family members or loved ones preferred. The following certifications are a plus: Certified Addiction Counselor (CAC), Drug and Alcohol Recovery Counselor (DARC), Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA), Certified Peer Recovery Specialist (CPRS) and/or any other applicable trainings/certifications related to addiction treatment. Aware Recovery Care requires proof of COVID vaccination prior to employment. Competencies and Skills - Essential:
Clear Communication Skills Both Written And Verbal Able To Keep Confidential Information Regarding Patients, Team Members Able To Withstand Crisis Situations Has Skills To Provides Customer Service To Patients, Team Members And Visitors Knowledge And Experience With Electronic Health Records Experience With Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio, Etc. Requirements Include:
If eligible, holds, or is willing to obtain Certified Recovery Peer Specialist (CRPS) certification with the Florida Certification Board. Upholds to the highest ethical standards and SAMHSA's Core Competencies. Must possess a valid driver's license and a clean driving record. Demonstrates a working knowledge and ability to model recovery values including hope, education, self-advocacy, personal responsibility and support. Requires High School diploma, or GED. Preferred qualification is completion of Peer Support Specialist training with additional mental health training. If training has not been completed, Peer Specialist must complete within 6 months of hire. Familiarity with local social service agencies, community resources, and support services preferred. Requires excellent verbal and communication skills. Requires ability to maintain confidentiality of all information. Requires basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, internet software and a web-based database. Ideal candidates are not required to have received services with The Lord's Place.
