Cash Management Accountant
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as a Cash Management Accountant. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency's Cash Management Unit within the Fiscal Division. Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Reviewing, posting and maintenance of third party liability recoveries and other sources to ensure funds are deposited, recorded and posted in accordance with applicable agency, state and federal regulations ensuring funds are appropriately allocated to state/federal sources. Support the depositing of agency check and check equivalents via the lockbox and virtual lockbox processes. Supports the coding and distribution of agency receipts to Fiscal staff. Support the processing of refunds due in a timely and efficient manner. Support the development, update and maintenance of business process documentation of business processes in the Cash Management Unit. Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications: Knowledge of processing, recording and reporting of agency receipts or agency disbursements. Knowledge of Commonwealth Cash Management policies and procedures or similar. Experience with Oracle Government Financials or other similar Accounts Receivable systems. Considerable experience compiling, analyzing and preparing financial reports and statement covering complex financial data. Skilled in utilizing personal computers and the Microsoft Office Suite to include Word, Outlook and Excel. Experience interpreting and applying state and federal laws and regulations. Experience in meeting deadlines. Experience with internal and external stakeholders. Knowledge researching, analyzing, identifying and resolve reporting discrepancies. Experience completing financial reconciliations and extracting data from multiple sources. Working knowledge of Medicaid programs and the Financial Operations. Knowledge of Third Party Liability Recovery process.
