Workday M&A Data Load Specialist
The Workday M&A Data Load Specialist is responsible for executing end-to-end data migrations into the Workday HCM system as part of post-merger and acquisition (M&A) integration activities. This role will focus on the successful ingestion, validation, and transformation of acquired employee data to ensure accuracy, compliance, and minimal disruption to business operations. Key Responsibilities:
Data Migration Planning & Execution
Participate in discovery and planning sessions with M&A and HRIS teams. Identify and document data mapping requirements from source systems to Workday. Lead extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) of acquired employee and organizational data.
Data Validation & Quality Assurance
Perform pre-load and post-load validations using audit reports and Workday-delivered tools. Collaborate with business stakeholders to review and validate data accuracy. Troubleshoot errors and provide resolution in collaboration with IT or Workday support teams.
Workday EIBs & Integration
Build, test, and run EIBs (Enterprise Interface Builders) for mass data uploads. Leverage Workday tools (iLoad, EIB, Workday Studio if applicable) for bulk transactions.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Coordinate with HR, Legal, Payroll, Benefits, and IT teams to ensure M&A compliance and readiness. Assist with cutover planning, blackout periods, and go-live support.
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain audit logs, data dictionaries, and transformation logic. Ensure compliance with data privacy, SOX, and GDPR requirements.
Qualifications:
Required
4+ years of hands-on experience with Workday HCM, specifically in data loads and EIBs. Prior experience with M&A employee data migrations or large-scale data conversions. Strong proficiency in Excel and data transformation techniques. Familiarity with core HCM objects: Job, Position, Compensation, Supervisory Org, etc. Ability to build complex custom reports
Preferred
Experience with Workday Advanced Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll. Background in M&A, HR transformation, or HR systems integration. Exposure to Workday Studio, security configuration. Experience with Workday configurations

Team player with a proactive and solution-oriented approach. Pay is based on market location and may vary based on factors including experience, skills, education and other job-related reasons. The annual salary range for this position is $150,000 to $165,000.
