Saw Operator
Join a dynamic team as a Saw Operator where you will be responsible for operating both horizontal and vertical band saws. You will cut raw materials according to specifications and blueprints, ensuring quality standards are met, and follow safety protocols diligently. This is a 6-month contract-to-hire position with the opportunity to work additional shifts on Fridays and Saturdays. Responsibilities
Operate horizontal and vertical band saws. Cut raw material per specifications and blueprints. Ensure materials meet quality standards. Adhere to safety standards. Use tape measure, measuring tools, and shop math. Utilize hand tools as needed. Follow the production schedule. Complete documentation and label materials. Set up and operate machinery. Load materials using overhead crane and forklift. Maintain equipment by completing preventative maintenance and assisting in troubleshooting machinery. Work effectively in a team environment. Essential Skills
At least 1 year of band saw operating experience (CNC or manual machining experience considered). Ability to read blueprints. Proficiency in using a tape measure. Strong shop math skills and ability to use hand tools. Capability to lift 50 pounds. Strong mechanical aptitude. Additional Skills & Qualifications
Crane operating experience. Forklift operating experience. Experience in manual machining or CNC. Why Work Here?
