Customer Service Representative
The Customer Service Representative plays a vital role as the first point of contact for visitors, donors, and potential adopters at the Junction City Animal Shelter. This position requires a compassionate, organized, and detail-oriented individual who is committed to providing excellent service to the public while supporting the day-to-day operations of the shelter. Examples of Duties Public interaction: Greeting all visitors warmly and professionally. Answer and direct phone calls promptly and courteously. Provide general information about shelter services, animals, and adoption process. Administrative Services: Perform data entry related to animal intake, adoptions, and volunteer information. Maintain accurate records and files both digitally and physically. Assist with preparing and organizing paperwork, forms, and reports. Housekeeping and Facility Maintenance: Ensure the front desk and public areas are clean, welcoming, and stocked with materials. Assist with basic cleaning tasks including sweeping, wiping surfaces, and organizing supplies. Alert staff to maintenance or supply needs as necessary. Team Collaboration: Work Closely with shelter staff and volunteers to support a safe and efficient environment. Assist during events or special projects as needed. Assist in other tasks when needed.
