Corporate Legal Assistant
Lasalle Network is pleased to be partnered with a prestigious Chicago law firm offering client-focused, interdisciplinary, high-value counsel. They are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Corporate Legal Assistant to join their litigation and administrative team. This role supports attorneys with document management, court filings, docketing, and foundational legal processes. The ideal candidate combines strong technical savvy with exceptional communication and collaboration skills. Key Responsibilities
Utilize Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe to draft, format, proofread, and manage legal documents (pleadings, memoranda, correspondence, and presentations) Administer document management systems, including Bates labeling, redactions, and filing preparation Process and track critical litigation documents such as subpoenas, summonses, and discovery requests Expertly navigate electronic signature software and e-filing platforms like PACER for federal and state court filings Maintain a centralized docketing system to track deadlines for case events, filings, and hearings Demonstrate working knowledge of courtroom procedures and research local court rules and standing orders Schedule court depositions, hearings, and other attorney events as needed Collaborate on special projects and support attorneys with communications, billing support, and clerical tasks What We're Looking For
Bachelor's degree in Law, Communications, Business, or a related field Deep understanding of litigation administrative practices and court systems (district, circuit, federal, appellate) Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Creative Suite Experience with document management systems and electronic signature platforms Familiarity with PACER and experience e-filing in state and federal courts Exceptional attention to detail, strong proofreading skills, and professional writing ability Capacity to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment Ability to take direction, work independently, and collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff High level of confidentiality, strong work ethic, and adaptability Compensation & Benefits
