Advanced Planning Document Manager (Financial Manager)

The Ohio Department of Medicaid (ODM) is seeking an experienced financial professional to manage aspects of our Advanced Planning Document (APD) process. As Manager over the APD Team, your responsibilities will include: Managing the preparation and submission of APDs on behalf of ODM Working closely with the APD team, stakeholders from ODM and other state agencies to manage the collection of APD requirements and creation of personnel and contract budgets Managing the development tools to track the budgets against the actual claim Acting as one of the APD Subject Matter Expert, providing guidance on the allowability of enhanced federal funding and the process for obtaining it Acting as one of ODM's liaison with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) regarding APD topics, providing updates to CMS on agency activities and providing updates to ODM on CMS direction Why Work for the State of Ohio At the State of Ohio, we take care of the team that cares for Ohioans. Qualifications 66 mos. exp. or 66 mos. trg. financial administration. -Or completion of undergraduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 42 mos. exp. or 42 mos. trg. in financial administration. -Or completion of graduate core program in public or business administration, accounting, finance or related field; 30 mos. exp. or 30 mos. trg. in financial administration. -Or 12 mos. exp. as Financial Program Manager, 66585. -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications for Employment noted above. NOTE: Successful completion of the Fiscal Academy may be substituted for 4 mos. of required accounting/fiscal experience referenced in this portion of the minimum qualifications. Job Skills: Accounting and Finance Supplemental Information Compensation is as listed on the posting unless required by legislation or union contract. The work location of this position is 50 West Town Street, Columbus, Ohio 43215. You will be required to report to this work location full-time, if selected. Travel required, as needed.
