Seasonal Mailroom Attendant

This role will be located at The Madison Club, set outside of La Quinta, CA. The Madison Club is seeking a Seasonal Mailroom Attendant to join the Club Operations Administration Department. The Mailroom Attendant is crucial for maintaining efficient mail and package operations within an organization. The attendant ensures timely and accurate distribution while upholding security and customer service standards. In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees. Key Responsibilities

Mail Sorting and Distribution: Receive, sort, and distribute incoming mail and packages to the appropriate recipients or departments. Process outgoing mail, ensuring proper postage and packaging. Package Handling: Manage and track packages and deliveries, logging information accurately. Notify recipients of incoming packages and coordinate pickups. Mail Equipment Operation: Operate mailroom equipment, including postage meters, mail sorting machines, and other relevant tools. Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure functionality. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Update databases or logs to track delivery status. Mailroom Organization: Keep the mailroom area clean, organized, and free of obstacles. Monitor and replenish supplies, such as envelopes, labels, and packaging materials. Mailroom Security: Ensure the security of incoming and outgoing mail and packages. Follow security protocols to prevent loss or damage. Special Deliveries and Couriers: Handle special deliveries, couriers, or messenger services as needed. Coordinate with external delivery services to ensure timely and secure deliveries. Problem Resolution: Resolve issues related to misaddressed mail, lost packages, or other mailroom-related concerns. Communicate effectively with internal departments or external services to resolve problems promptly. Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in a mailroom or similar position is preferred. Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. Good communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to lift and move heavy packages. Basic computer skills for record-keeping and data entry. Additional Requirements

Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members. Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Long hours may be required due to business demands. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times. Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred. Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds. The hourly rate $20-$22 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
