Under direction of the Registered Nurse, the MHS provides direct patient care and participates in therapeutic milieu. Does this position require patient care? Yes. Responsibilities include identifying and reporting house cleaning problems, equipment problems, participating in the unit's inventory system, initiating activities that assist patients in maintaining a clean environment, assisting patients in their activities of daily living, identifying patient hygiene needs, providing for patients' nutritional needs, assisting and reassuring patients during tests, exams, and procedures, escorting and supervising patients, maintaining a commitment to professional growth and competency. Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required. Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No. Licenses and Credentials: Basic Life Support [BLS Certification] - Data Conversion - Various Issuers preferred. Nursing Assistant [LNA - New Hampshire] - New Hampshire Board of Nursing preferred. Experience: Related experience 0-1 year preferred. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Ability to work well collaboratively and independently. Ability to operate within Electronic Health Records (EHR) system. Ability to manage multiple, competing priorities successfully. Basic computer skills. Ability to work effectively with patients, other members of the Health Care Team, facility personnel, and families/supportive others. Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times.
