Claims Specialist

Answer incoming calls from customers, lenders, dealers, and insurance companies on claim status. Enter incoming documentation in SCS system and assign claims to adjusters. Responsibilities include: Handling incoming calls regarding inquiries about status of claims for GAP, Excess Wear, Paint & Interior and ETCH. Recording phone interaction by documenting detail notes and comments into the SCS system. Providing accurate claim information to dealers, agents, lienholders and customers. Entering concise claim notes into the SCS system. Splitting PDF files into individual documents and attaching them in the appropriate section located within the claim. Determining if all required claim documents are accurate and legible to properly adjudicate the claim. Initiating automated claim payment letters, and follow-up letters to customers and lenders. Creating claim denial letters. Communicating with dealers, lienholders, and customers on claim payment issues using system generated letters. Processing GAP settlement breakdowns received from insurance carriers. Processing Open Claim reports to verify status of claims. Performing other duties as assigned.
