JOB SUMMARY:

The DTF Film Cutter is responsible for cutting the design out of the roll of film that will be used by the Heat Transfer Operators. All logos should be cut as straight and uniform as possible using the cutting table and checked for quality issues before marrying the film with the order paperwork. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, highly organized, and work at an efficient pace to keep up with the workflow of the DTF Printers.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (includes other duties as required): Receive roll of film from DTF Printer Operator(s) and load roll onto cutting table. Utilize the Order and CAD paperwork to identify the design needed and its quantities. Review CAD drawings of each order to understand where the border of the art is so the design is accurately cut out of the film. Cut the designs out of the film using the cutting table. Organize the cut film by order and design. If the quality and quantities are correct, move the film and paperwork to its assigned location. Report any quality or quantity discrepancies to the DTF Printer Operators immediately. Ensure workspace cleanliness and compliance with safety regulations. Assist DTF Print Operator(s) as needed. Assist in other areas as needed by leadership. Follow all safety guidelines and standard operating procedures.

SKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS:

Previous experience in screen printing, heat transfers, manufacturing, or warehouse environments is a plus. Attention to detail and commitment to quality. Reliable attendance and punctuality are a must. Positive attitude and ability to work as part of a team.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to stand for extended periods (8-10 hours per shift). Occasionally required to lift, carry, or move garments, boxes, and materials up to 30 lbs. Ability to review small details. Repeated use of hands, wrists, and arms to handle garments and materials efficiently.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: The DTF Film Cutter is normally set up inside of a climate-controlled room. The remainder of the facility is not temperature controlled. When required to work outside of the DTF room, the conditions may be hot in the summer and cold in the winter.

WORK HOURS: Monday-Friday, 8:00AM-4:30PM Voluntary overtime may be requested during busy periods.

DRESS CODE: Closed-toed shoes are required.
