ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Design, test, and develop packaging solutions for gel packs and EPS products to ensure product protection, quality, and ease of transportation. Collaborate with the product development and manufacturing teams to assess packaging needs and determine optimal packaging designs. Conduct material analysis and select appropriate materials for packaging, balancing cost, performance, and sustainability. Evaluate packaging designs for compliance with industry standards, regulations, and customer specifications. Perform structural testing, simulations, and evaluations to ensure packaging meets durability and performance standards. Manage packaging design projects from concept through implementation, ensuring timelines, costs, and quality standards are met. Investigate new technologies, materials, and processes for potential improvements in packaging design and manufacturing. Create and maintain documentation for packaging designs, including technical drawings, specifications, and testing reports. Collaborate with supply chain and logistics teams to streamline packaging processes and reduce waste. Work with vendors and suppliers to source materials and packaging components. Continuously monitor packaging performance and lead initiatives for cost reduction, efficiency, and environmental sustainability. Support troubleshooting and problem-solving for packaging issues in production or shipping.

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree in Packaging Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field. years of experience in packaging design, preferably in gel packs, EPS products, or similar industries. Strong understanding of packaging materials (gel packs, EPS, corrugated, plastics, etc.) and testing methods. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD) and other design tools. Knowledge of industry regulations and best practices for packaging design. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A passion for sustainability and innovative packaging solutions is a plus.

PREFERRED SKILLS: Experience with sustainable packaging practices and materials. Familiarity with product testing standards, such as ISTA or ASTM. Prior experience in manufacturing and supply chain processes.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs. Ability to stand or sit for extended periods. Ability to work in a manufacturing or production environment.
