This role requires expertise in healthcare technology implementations, construction project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the seamless integration of IT and telecom systems into new and existing healthcare facilities.

Our healthcare provider client in the New York City area is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Healthcare IT Project Manager to oversee and coordinate IT and telecom infrastructure within construction projects. This role requires expertise in healthcare technology implementations, construction project management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the seamless integration of IT and telecom systems into new and existing healthcare facilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IT and telecom infrastructure planning and execution for healthcare construction projects.
- Manage project scope, budget, and timelines, ensuring all IT and telecom components align with overall project schedules.
- Collaborate with construction teams, architects, engineers, IT staff, and healthcare administrators to integrate technology solutions seamlessly.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and testing of IT and telecom systems, including networking, structured cabling, VoIP, security systems, and data center infrastructure.
- Provide status updates and reports to stakeholders, highlighting project progress, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Support end-users in adopting new IT and telecom systems as part of construction project completions.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and innovation in healthcare IT and telecom infrastructure deployment.
- 3-5+ years of IT project management experience, ideally within healthcare or other regulated industries.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or similar project management certification.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience working onsite in a healthcare or enterprise environment.
- Familiarity with healthcare processes, data security standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure, security, application, or integration-focused IT projects.
- Previous experience working directly in or with hospitals, clinics, or health systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in fast-paced environments.
- Candidate must be available to work at the healthcare facility during regular business hours, with occasional after-hours or weekend work for go-lives or urgent project milestones.
- Must be able to be onsite 4 - 5 days per week.
