Strategic Support Solutions is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Manager to oversee and direct all aspects of aircraft maintenance activities to ensure airworthiness and compliance with regulations. This includes managing personnel, scheduling maintenance, ensuring quality control, and maintaining records. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager is also responsible for troubleshooting technical issues, overseeing repairs, and coordinating with other departments. The Aircraft Maintenance Manager reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the repair station inclusive of work scope, staffing, and compliance, and profitability. Key Responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Supervision and Management: Direct and manage 65-70 aircraft maintenance personnel, including mechanics and technicians.
- Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance schedules, ensuring efficient use of resources and adherence to deadlines.
- Quality Control: Oversee inspections, ensure compliance with regulations and company policies, and verify the quality of maintenance work.
- Technical Expertise: Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot technical issues, and ensure proper repair of aircraft components.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance activities, including inspections, repairs, and parts replacement.
- Safety and Compliance: Promote and enforce safety procedures, ensure compliance with FAA regulations, and maintain a safe working environment.
- Communication: Communicate effectively with various stakeholders, including customers, maintenance personnel, flight crews, and other departments.
- Resource Management: Manage inventory, order parts, and ensure availability of necessary tools and equipment.
- Must have experience and working knowledge of MRO operations such as 145 Repair Station, AS9110, FAA, OSHA, and EPA.
- Must have a minimum of 3 years prior experience in a supervisory role within aviation maintenance.
- FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification is required.
