Job Purpose
Support the accounting and financial reporting activitiesincluding monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and SOX audits for American Honda Motor's automobile division, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Collaborate with North American Honda subsidiaries to analyze and report automobile business performance, focusing on warranty, Vehicle Service Contracts, advertising, and other accruals.
Key Accountabilities
- Prepare financial reporting close journal entries, account analyses, SAP allocations, General Ledger close processes, and related deliverables for the Automobile Segment, with a focus on warranty, vehicle service contracts, advertising, and other accruals.
- Support quarterly/annual financial audits, including SOX compliance.
- Collaborate with the business to understand current business directions and market conditions related to responsible areas. Support the Assistant Manager in gathering and collaborating with other business units for quarterly reporting.
- Identify and implement process improvements and complete ad-hoc projects.
- Prepare monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and Non-GAAP analyses for the Auto Product Segment, including Auto Inventory Analysis and fluctuation analysis related to business performance and strategy.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Minimum Experience: 3+ years in accounting/finance and in public accounting or distribution/manufacturing accounting
