Job Purpose
Support the accounting and financial reporting activities- including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial and SOX audits for American Honda Motor's automobile division, in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Collaborate with North American Honda subsidiaries to analyze and report automobile business performance, with a focus on warranty, Vehicle Service Contracts, advertising, and other various accruals.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare financial reporting close journal entries, account analyses, SAP allocations, General Ledger close processes, and related deliverables for Automobile Segment with a main focus on warranty, vehicle service contracts, advertising and other various accruals.
Support quarterly/annual financial audit, including SOX compliance.
Collaborate with business to gain and expand understanding over current business directions/market condition related to responsible areas. Support Assistant Manager in gathering and continuing to collaborate with other business unit(s) in preparation for quarterly reporting.
Identify and implement process improvements and complete various ad-hoc projects.
Prepare assigned monthly/quarterly account reconciliations and Non-GAAP analyses over Auto Product Segment area including Auto Inventory Analysis and fluctuation analysis in correlation with business performance/strategy.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
Minimum Experience: 3 or more years in accounting/finance
3 or more years in public accounting or distribution/manufacturing accounting
