Sr. Accountant Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join our team in Burlington, Massachusetts. This contract-to-permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to key financial processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance while driving operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and record journal entries and accruals in alignment with accounting standards.
- Conduct monthly account and bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Assist in the completion of month-end and year-end close activities, including preparing necessary documentation.
- Support accounts receivable and accounts payable processes, providing analysis and oversight.
- Manage and maintain general ledger accounts and financial records with precision.
- Contribute to revenue recognition and deferred revenue accounting efforts.
- Analyze large financial datasets to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide documentation and support during audits to ensure compliance and accuracy.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and interpret financial data.
- Drive process improvements and contribute to the enhancement of accounting systems.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience, with SaaS or technology industry exposure preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP; familiarity with ASC 606 is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in reconciling large datasets and identifying discrepancies.
- Proficiency in accounting software such as NetSuite, Intacct, or QuickBooks Online.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis tools.
- Exceptional attention to detail and analytical thinking capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.
