Overview
This position is located in Dwight D. Eisenhower Army Medical Center, Department of Radiology Fort Eisenhower, Georgia.
Ft. Eisenhower is adjacent to Augusta, Georgia, famous for its major attraction, The Masters Golf Tournament. Ft Eisenhower has a moderate year-round climate and offers close proximity to metropolitan areas, beaches along the Atlantic Ocean, and the Appalachian Mountains.
Responsibilities
As a Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (CT) you will:
- Independently make examinations after conferring with the radiologist to establish the examination requirements.
- Determine the condition(s) at issue and the procedures and equipment to best meet the needs of the individual case.
- Administer oral and intravenous contrast material observing Universal Precautions, as indicated by exam protocol, interview, and screening process.
- Ensure that all patient records are complete and signed prior to examination or procedures being performed.
Qualifications
US Citizenship required.
Public Law 97-35 requires that persons who administer radiologic procedures meet the credentialing standards of 42 CFR Part 75. They must (1) have successfully completed an educational program that meets or exceeds the standards described in that regulation, and is accredited by an organization recognized by the Department of Education, and (2) be certified as radiographers in their field.
