Payroll Manager
Location: Louisville, KY
Compensation: $80,000 $110,000 (based on experience)
Employment Type: Permanent, Direct Hire
Schedule: On-site with some schedule flexibility
About the Role:
Our client, a well-established company in Louisville, KY, is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to take full ownership of the payroll function. This is a key role within the organization and will serve as the sole payroll professional. While our client will maintain a partnership with their HCM provider for Paylocity build-out and processing support, this position will be responsible for managing all payroll activities from start to finish.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of payroll processing for approximately 150 employees
- Ensure compliance with multi-state payroll requirements
- Process union payrolls accurately and on schedule
- Partner with the HCM provider (Paylocity) while taking full ownership of payroll operations
- Prepare and submit certified payroll reports as needed
- Identify and implement payroll process improvements
- Assist with payroll system enhancements and build-out initiatives
- Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Required:
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience
- Multi-state payroll processing expertise
- Union payroll processing experience
- Preferred:
- Certified payroll reporting experience
- Payroll process improvement and system implementation background
- Experience with Paylocity or similar HCM platforms
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
Compensation & Benefits:
