Role: Staff Accountant
Location: San Francisco, CA
Hourly Rate: $35-$45/hr., depending on experience level and relevant experience to the role
Our dynamic consumer goods client in the East Bay is looking for a highly motivated Staff Accountant to start immediately! This contract opportunity has the potential to convert to a permanent position for the right candidate. Our clients ideal candidate has a minimum of 2 years of GL accounting experience and an interest into moving into a more corporate tax focused role. Training on tax related responsibilities will be provided by the current team.
Responsibilities:

• Maintain the books for the fixed assets group and prepare necessary journal entries.
• Assist with monthly reconciliations, organization of necessary forms, and extracting reports for analysis.
• Responsible for research of tax treatments and partnering with other teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Join a team spearheading an automation project in Excel and other special projects.
  

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in accounting or finance
• 2 - 4 years of previous GL Accounting experience (fixed assets experience, a plus!)
• Strong Excel experience (sum/if, pivot tables/VLOOKUP) in a high-volume data environment
• Knowledge of a large ERP system (Oracle, SAP, NetSuite, etc.)
