Vaco Orange County is a leading provider of accounting and finance consulting services. We are looking for a Senior Accountant to join our client's team in Irvine, CA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparing and reviewing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports
- Performing monthly close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and allocations
- Supporting the consolidation process for multiple entities and intercompany transactions
- Preparing and assisting in the review of monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analysis
- Maintaining and updating the general ledger and chart of accounts
- Ensuring compliance with GAAP and internal controls
- Managing quarterly forecasts and the annual budgeting process for G&A
- Preparing monthly/quarterly balance sheet reconciliations
- Reviewing portfolio financial statements; analyzing and commenting on significant variances
- Supporting internal and external audits by providing documentation and explanations
- Assisting with complex special projects, including preparing analysis schedules and ad hoc requests
Job Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required
- At least 5 years of accounting experience in Real Estate is required
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards
- Experience with SAP preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel: formulas, pivot tables, and Power Query (preferred)
- Ability to work on a temp-to-permanent basis
