About the Role
An LA family office is seeking a Senior Accountant due to company growth. The responsibilities include intercompany eliminations, assisting with AP, reconciliations, and general ledger duties. Success in this role requires flexibility, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle diverse personalities. Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or related field
- 4+ years of accounting experience
- Industry experience in consulting, business management, financial services, or multi-location environments
- CPA preferred
- Advanced Excel skills
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple legal entities with varying structures
- Prepare and review financial statements monthly, quarterly, and annually
- Perform intercompany reconciliations and ensure proper eliminations for consolidation
- Record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments per GAAP
- Analyze accounting data, prepare reports, and explain variances
- Coordinate with external tax advisors, auditors, and third-party providers
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulations
- Assist in improving accounting processes, controls, and systems
- Provide ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed
