The Senior Accountant, Global Tax role will work collaboratively with members of the Donaldson global Finance organization, primarily to prepare aspects of the worldwide income tax provision, support global transfer pricing documentation, and assist with U.S. and international tax compliance. This role will also allow for the opportunity to research tax matters as well as drive process automations and improvements. This is an ideal role for someone to work in multiple areas on our team with a direct impact on the business. Ideal candidates must be able to work a hybrid schedule out of our Bloomington, MN office.
Role Responsibilities:
- Assist with aspects of the global income tax provision process, including preparing U.S. international tax calculations, reviewing foreign tax provision calculations and assisting with provision to return reconciliations
- Prepare U.S. transfer pricing documentation, ensuring compliance with OECD and local country regulations
- Collaborate cross-functionally to analyze cross-border transactions and to support transfer pricing studies and intercompany agreements
- Prepare workpapers in support of the outsourced international tax compliance process, including U.S. international tax calculations and BEPS-related documentation (e.g., CbCR, Master File, Local File, Pillar Two)
- Monitor international tax law developments (e.g., Pillar Two, GILTI, FDII, BEAT) and assess their impact on the company's global tax position and reporting requirements
- Collaborate with treasury team on dividend planning and foreign bank account reporting (FBARs) compliance
- Assist with various tax audits, M&A tax due diligence, and other tax matters by providing research and analysis and responses to document requests as needed
- Drive improvement initiatives for transfer pricing, income tax provision, and tax compliance preparation processes
- Build relationships internally to ensure that tax considerations are addressed and drive value from a tax perspective
Travel: Up to 5% as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar field
- 2+ years of related work experience in public accounting and/or a multinational corporate tax department
Preferred Qualifications:
- Understanding of ASC 740 and/or OECD guidance
- Ability to build relationships and work cross-functionally in a global organization
- Strong analytical skills, interpersonal, and written/verbal communication skills; problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- CPA license
- U.S. International tax and/or transfer pricing experience a plus
Relocation: This position is not eligible for relocation assistance.
Annual Salary Range: $78,400 100,900.
Actual salaries will vary based on several factors including, but not limited to applicable work experience, training, education, performance.
