This role requires a hybrid work schedule, with three days per week in the office. Locations include NYC, Red Bank NJ, Short Hills NJ, and Alpharetta GA.
Job Responsibilities
- Review claims to determine the nature of loss, coverage, and scope.
- Utilize knowledge of legal frameworks, especially Construction and New York Labor Law, for claims investigation and resolution.
- Investigate claims thoroughly, document the process, and develop resolution strategies.
- Review contracts for risk transfer and coverage analysis.
- Investigate potential fraud and take appropriate action.
- Make settlement recommendations and identify opportunities for contribution and subrogation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience.
- 7-10 years of claims handling experience in commercial casualty insurance.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with New York Labor Law, Product Liability, and complex litigation claims.
- Proficient in analyzing coverage issues and drafting correspondence.
Additional Responsibilities
- Evaluate and document claims thoroughly.
- Prepare reports for senior management.
- Travel as needed for mediations and settlement conferences.
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary ranges from USD $105K-125K in GA, $125K-160K in NY, and $120K-150K in NJ, depending on experience and location. We also offer competitive incentives, comprehensive benefits including medical, wellness, retirement, tuition reimbursement, paid vacation, and more.
