JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support our Shop Division. This role partners with cross-functional business teams, performs in-depth variance analysis, and provides actionable insights to guide operational decisions. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical capabilities with a collaborative approach and thrives in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

The Financial Analyst supports financial planning, reporting, and variance analysis for Repair Shop Operations. Responsibilities include managing the monthly close process, forecasting, cost analysis, and performance metrics tracking. The role works closely with Shop Management and corporate functions, such as Finance, Supply Chain, and Equipment, to ensure financial accuracy and deliver timely business insights.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare month-end financial close activities, including accruals, journal entries, and account reconciliations.

  • Develop and maintain cost tracking tools to analyze spending patterns and forecast future costs.

  • Conduct variance analysis on labor, materials, and overhead to identify cost trends and support operational reviews.

  • Provide regular financial updates to Shop Management, comparing actuals to forecasts to support budget adherence.

  • Assist with the development of long-range financial plans and quarterly board forecasts through data gathering and variance analysis.

  • Ensure financial data accuracy across ERP and reporting systems; identify and assist in resolving discrepancies.

  • Deliver ad hoc financial analysis and support deep dives into cost drivers as requested by leadership.

  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in reporting processes and operational efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with an ability to interpret complex financial and operational data.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas, modeling) and PowerPoint.

  • Experience working with ERP systems (Oracle preferred).

  • Ability to manage and reconcile financial data from multiple sources and systems.

  • Solid understanding of cost control, budget planning, and financial forecasting.

  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial insights clearly to various audiences.

  • Self-motivated, well-organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

PREFERRED SKILLS

  • Experience in operational finance, manufacturing, or shop environments.

  • Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Power BI or Tableau.

  • Exposure to process improvement initiatives, financial automation, or system enhancements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

  • 24 years of experience in financial analysis, FP&A, or general accounting.

  • Experience working in a matrixed organization and cross-functional teams is a plus.
