General Summary: Under the supervision of the Grants Management (GM) Supervisor, this role involves preparing financial reports, providing analysis to internal and external stakeholders, and assisting with daily activities and special projects within the Grants Management Department.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual reports to funders, including invoices and financial statements.
- Complete regular financial reporting to management, including projections and analysis; meet with GM Supervisor regularly.
- Create and maintain reports in AI to manage grants; collaborate with GM Supervisor and FP&A.
- Review general ledger transactions for accuracy; make adjusting journal entries as needed.
- Coordinate with program managers on grant-related questions and requests.
- Review distribution codes and cost allocations; propose updates and make necessary journal entries.
- Perform grant close-out functions, including reconciliations and final reporting.
- Monitor monthly revenue, receivables, and payables related to grants.
- Assist in preparing budgets for grant applications and update relevant financial modules.
- Participate in ad hoc research projects as assigned.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- At least two years of experience in accounting or finance, with familiarity in financial statement preparation.
- Intermediate proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUP, sorting, pivot tables) and Word; working knowledge of other MS Office applications.
- Full-time, regular business hours, office environment.
- Background check and health clearance as per program requirements, including Live Scan, DMV, and other specific clearances for roles working with children or public.
