Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist II
The Cardiovascular Radiology Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular imaging procedures under the direction of a physician. This includes assisting in cardiac catheterizations, angioplasties, stent placements, and other vascular procedures. The technologist ensures high-quality imaging while maintaining patient safety and comfort throughout the procedures.
Essential Duties:
- Prepare and position patients for cardiovascular imaging procedures.
- Operate fluoroscopic and digital imaging equipment during diagnostic and interventional procedures.
- Assist physicians with catheterization and interventional cardiovascular procedures.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and radiation protection protocols.
- Prepare sterile fields and maintain aseptic technique.
- Perform equipment quality control and notify supervisors of maintenance needs.
- Educate and support patients and families before, during, and after procedures.
Qualifications:
- Two (2)-years of current Radiology Technologist and hands-on scrub including interventional experience.
- Completion of approved JRCERT Radiologic Technologist Program
- Current Radiology License CRT
- Current Arizona State License (MRTBE)
- Current American Heart Association ACLS (preferred) and BLS certifications
