We are in search of a capable
Project Manager
to join our dynamic team and help us develop innovative solutions for intricate challenges. Leidos operates across the USA, providing effective engineering and IT solutions in the defense, space, cyber, and commercial sectors. The Project Manager will play a crucial role in supporting Fuzing Systems within our Defense sector. The selected candidate will manage multiple tasks concurrently, lead team collaborations, and effectively communicate with management, colleagues, and clients. Being self-driven and highly organized is essential, with an unwavering commitment to exceeding customer expectations through high-quality product generation. Key Responsibilities Assist the Program Manager by evaluating daily execution activities. Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings, setting clear expectations for project teams. Monitor programmatic metrics regularly to ensure successful project execution. Identify risks and opportunities at the IPT level, developing mitigation strategies in collaboration with the team. Recognize and address capability or process gaps, providing valuable recommendations for improvement. Coordinate program activities across multiple functions seamlessly. Encourage communication and coordination within projects. Support the Program Manager in managing risks related to costs, schedules, and technical aspects of materials used in the program. Plan and execute hardware-focused projects effectively. Define project tasks and necessary resources efficiently. Collaborate with the Manufacturing Program Management team to create and sustain project timelines. Maintain regular communication with Customers, Senior Leadership, and Suppliers. Basic Qualifications BA degree plus 2-4 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree. Experience with proposals using Basis of Estimates (BOE). Proven ability to manage timelines and meet tight schedules. Strong communication skills with proficiency in briefing senior customers and corporate stakeholders. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Project, and PowerPoint. Solid understanding of hardware development, manufacturing, procurement, production, and integration processes. Demonstrated leadership in a team environment, fostering open communication and resolving internal conflicts. Adept at analyzing complex information and making sound decisions based on that data. Excellent organizational skills with strong verbal and written communication abilities. Experience in supply chain management, working effectively with suppliers to meet product deliverables. Must be a U.S. Citizen. Preferred Qualifications Project management certification (CAPM) or equivalent. Experience in supporting development or production programs. Fuzing Systems experience, particularly with ESAF (Electronic Safe and Arm Fuze) and HOBS (Height of Burst Sensor). Knowledge of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) manufacturing processes.
