Maximus is in search of a Senior AWS Cloud Systems Operations Manager who is passionate about optimizing AWS workloads and ensuring system security and compliance. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the integrity and performance of DoD systems in the cloud.
This position is on-site and requires an active TS/SCI security clearance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Deploy and manage AWS workloads with a focus on security and compliance.
Utilize AWS Console and CLI for system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
Support development teams by providing system administration on AWS and Kubernetes.
Adhere to best practices as outlined in the AWS Well-Architected Framework.
Minimum Requirements:
Active TS/SCI clearance.
10+ years of experience in systems administration across Linux and Windows platforms.
Experience and/or training in managing AWS workloads, including Amazon EKS, and supporting development and testing teams.
Currently holding IAT Level II certifications.
Kubernetes CKA certification or equivalent training, along with 2 years of applied experience on containerized platforms.
Three of the following certifications or trainings are required; with the possibility of substituting 4 years of experience for each certification:
AWS Cloud Practitioner (Foundational) AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) Kubernetes and Cloud Native Associate (KCNA) Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE)
Preferred Skills and Qualifications: AWS SysOps Administrator (Associate) certification. CompTIA Security+ A bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. A bachelor's degree may substitute for two (2) years of experience, and a master's degree may substitute for an additional two (2) years.
