The Systems Administrator is required to have an active secret security clearance as they will be responsible for deploying and maintaining classified IT infrastructures. This position is onsite in McKinney, TX. What You Will Do

You will provide System Administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows (Primary OS) and RedHat Enterprise Linux environment. You will have an understanding and knowledge of Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and Linux integration methods. You will be working as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment. Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of a moderate to high scope and complexity to include the integration of hardware and operating systems (OS). You will understand data RAID; data backup uses and technologies. Install and configure software applications requested by end users. What You Will Learn

You will foster relationships with your DT peers all over the world that work and WANT to work at Collins. You will learn how to work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements. Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field or in absence of a degree, 6 years. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. An active DoD Secret clearance is required. You must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140/8570 Certification requirements within 6 months of start date. Experience with security infrastructure products and capabilities. Must have experience with Windows and Linux/Unix server and workstations. Experience using VMware vCenter, vSphere, VDI (Horizon), and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods. Experience with Windows architecture, deployment, administration, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, and troubleshooting. Experience with infrastructure backup, restore, disaster recovery and business continuity products. Experience with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment. Qualifications We Prefer

Experience with NetApp. Scripting Experience (PowerShell, Ansible, Python) Experience hardening systems using tools like SCAP and following STIGs. Experience supporting engineers in software, simulations, and hardware development. What We Offer
