What You Will Do As the Clinical Nurse Informaticist, you will be responsible for planning, reviewing, and contributing to all activities and functions of clinical transformation by using Information Technology to continually assess and improve the way patient care is delivered and providing managerial, technical, and motivational leadership. In this role, you will collaborate with the CMIO to drive clinical transformation through careful analysis of current processes and workflows and change management strategies that align with the Center’s strategic plan and center goals.

The Opportunity Participate in the development and implementation of overall strategies for clinical transformation through the use of data analytics including: Identify opportunities to optimize clinical processes. Participate in design and development of quality reports and dashboards Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders across the Center, promoting the value of clinical informatics and the credibility and value of the Information Services Department to care delivery operation. Actively participate with implementation team(s) during the planning and implementation of new features or functions or enhancements to existing functions which affect clinical employees. Responsible for translating process and workflow decision into education materials, leveraging change management and adult learning principles. Collaborate with disease management coordinators to identify key performance indicators of optimal care, monitor data tracking and outcomes reporting of disease specific initiatives i.e., HP 2030, Community Counts, Population Profile, HTDS. Collaborate with the Quality Improvement Program Manager to formally document DM outcomes, meet accreditation requirements, poster/publishing opportunities and reporting to the QIC-Quality Improvement Committee. Partner with the Medical Education Program Manager to provide supplemental training/education for all departments related to clinical data analytics. Requirements Clinical degree in Nursing, Pharmacy, Medicine or equivalent degree or Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Clinical or Healthcare Informatics is required. At least (3) years of experience in direct patient care setting using clinical systems. At least (3) years of experience with analyzing clinical and patient workflows. At least (3) years of experience in change management, clinical informatics, project management, quality improvement methods and tools, data analysis methods and tools, decision support methods and tools, and electronic health records. Experience using Athenahealth’s AthenaOne preferred. All IHI employees are expected to enable multi-factor authentication via their personal smartphone or smart device to access IHI systems as a requirement of their role. Benefits Why join our team?
